O.K. So our new addition is almost five weeks old now, and the only reason I am taking up my precious time to do this is for all my great and wonderful family and friends who I never get to see or talk to much. I love you all!

So here is the story:

I went into labor the night of the 19th being almost overdue by a week! It was awful being that overdue, the wait was killing me!
I knew that it was time, because I was finally feeling sick and very irritable!
So I started to have REAL contractions around 8:30 pm. I decided to labor a while at home because I was going to try for a natural birth and of course then the hospital did no good for me up until I needed the baby delivered. So we waited it out until 12:30pm and by then the contractions were getting intense, and I wondered if I was going to make it!
We arrived at the hospital and luckily my midwife was already there with another delivery because 20m min after we got there my water broke. I went from being dilated to a 5 all the way to a 10 in just a few minutes.
YES the labor was extremely intense! I have never in my whole life experienced such pain. I breathed through and used my months of practicing hypnobirthing to survive what I could. Near the end I was hyperventilating a bit, because my hands and feet started to tingle and go numb. But luckily my body was a champ and knew what to do and to do it quickly I pushed two times and she was out.
Never feeling what it felt like to actually have the urge to push was incredible! My body took over and the adrenalin kicked in. I felt everything! I felt my body open up, change, cope with more pain then it has ever felt and give birth to this beautiful baby girl! That is what I wanted out of all this and that is what I got, I got to FEEL my body naturally do what it was intended to do .
I am not saying it was by any means easy, and I am glad I did it on my last child. But none the less I am truly grateful for the experience.

California trip

I know that it has been a whole 6 months since I last updated my blog. And I was trying to figure out why I got so burt out and did not want to do it anymore. So I came up with a few good excuses: 1.Hadley did not take naps anymore and that is when I usually did it. 2: I have an I Phone now so I usually get on that to look at the internet and facebook. 3: Does anybody really look at it? But I thought to myself if nothing else I should update it even if it is just for me, kind of like a scrapbook of sorts. So here I am!
This is our trip to California, we went in May and it was wonderfully cool and beautiful! We had a lot of fun and stayed in a very nice house that we found for such a good deal!

Hadley LOVES that song and sang it all through Christmas time! It was so cute! And the last time I would let her listen to it was New Years eve, so she sang and did a little dance to it for all of us to enjoy!
Hadley got a lizard. I mention that because she is into the reptiles more than dolls!
Caden got a really cool remote control car, that I must confess that I think I like to drive it more than him!
Steve got Guitar lessons and a new office remodel that we have been working on....pictures will be coming soon.
And as for myself, I got a new desk, and a few kitchen things that I have been needing.

We had a great Christmas this year.....And I hope that you all did too!

We did it again! We ventured out to take some family pictures...We got all ready to go and got there freezing and the kids were irritated. So by the end we did not get a lot of pictures and we did not have a lot turn out. So now I need to decide which ones to use on the good ol' Christmas cards. Huuuu..... Any Help?

Halloween!

This year we had a little open house Halloween party at our house and it was fun! We did a little trick or treating too. Hadley's favorite part was giving the candy out to the other trick or treaters. That is her waiting on our stairs for people to come, she did not even want to play with the other kids, she just waited patiently for them to come. So cute!

First Snow!

My kids and their friend Chance wanted to go out and catch snowflakes on their tongue, so of course I let them! What kid does not love to do that!

Duck Creek, Utah

We went back to a cabin that we rented in Duck Creek. And this time we went with my brother and his family. We had a great time for the most part. Besides a little problem.....We got the H1N1 virus! Caden got it first and then it quickly spread to each of us. So we ended up not doing quite as many things as we hoped.We went fishing, climbed through a really narrow cave!(we were on our stomachs at one point) We did get to hike down in Bryce, which is something we were looking forward to doing. That is where Caden "hit the wall" and we knew that he was sick. Steve had to carry him up the hardest part of the hike, Good thing he is Tough! I could not have done it!!!
Oh and did I mention Hadley is one tough CHICK, she did not complain once about the dark cave, the strenuous hike or anything dirty!

For Steve's Birthday this year we decided that it would be fun to go to Thanksgiving point and see the farm animals. Hadley and Caden got to ride on a pony and I have to say that I have never seen Hadley smile that much for so long it was worth every penny (even thought it was only $3!) Then we took a walk through the beautiful gardens! Ahhh...They are so nice, me and Steve dream about our yard looking like that someday. Then later on that nigh Steve and I went out to dinner without the kids!

Back to school............Oh so Cool!

Going back to school last week was great. Caden was very excited and we had a little "back to school feast" the night before to build confidence and ease the nerves a little for the both of us. Caden is loving school and I shall say that I am loving it as well, it is good for me to have a little one on one with Hadley and It is a little more peaceful around the house for the morning. O.K. so I did not cry or anything! am I a bad MOM? It is only 30 minutes longer than preschool! So we will see if there are any tears next year when he goes all day! (I am guessing a yes on that one)

9th Anniversay Aug. 11th 2009

So I know that this is all a little backwards but I haven't posted much lately so I thought I would all tell you about our lovely anniversary since you are all wondering I just know it! but I shall only tell certain details!
We had an awesome time....
On Friday we left in the morning and went to the Redd Butte gardens at the University of Utah and enjoyed lunch in the beautiful gardens. Then we went to a movie and got to the Anniversary inn just in time to change and go to the Roof for dinner, which is always so GOOD! After dinner we walked over and took a tour in the conference center which was really cool, I have been in it but never walked around and heard all of the interesting and spiritual details involved. (very cool I defiantly recommend it!) Then the next morning we watched a movie in our room and was served breakfast in bed. On our way home we stopped through Park City to shop and then realized all the back to school shoppers were there and did not really shop much so we left and came home to greet our tiered kids who Did not care if we were even home! Yeah that kind of makes you feel bad at first, but then again it kind of makes it easier to go the next time!

So I set out to take some picture of my kids...well I should say pictures of my kids with their hair done, clothes not dirty and their faces washed! But my camera died a little ways into it and the sun was still a little too bright so this as good as it gets until I try again! Oh and they look better in real life, for some reason they are not showing up as clear, I think it might be the wrong format? any ideas?

so this is what went down......

We were a little bored last Saturday and anyone that knows Steve and I know that we hate being board! So I had a thought that we could go and JUST LOOK at the pet store, well anyone that knows me enough knows that I have a hard time JUST LOOKING at the pet store, and I even told myself no pets before we got there........But they had this cute little guy on sale and all the stuff to go with. I folded the kids folded and even Steve folded. So now we have a cute little bunny that gets a lot of LOVE from mainly Me, Caden and (unfortunatly) Hadley! But don't worry PITA it is under control.

Island Park and Yellowstone 2009

We had a lot of fun going up to Steve's Grandma's cabin and parking our trailer on her land. We road our 4 wheeler, played in the river, made good food in the dutch oven! and went into Yellowstone for one of the nights. Caden really enjoyed Yellowstone this year, he loved all the steam and the big Buffalo. Hadley loved seeing the animals of course and she just loves being in the trailer. We also really enjoyed spending time with Steve's Grandma. Good times we shall never forget!
And I love to take pictures there because everything is so beautiful!!!

Steve had fun finally catching fish....it has been a few years since we caught any on the river.

The kids had so much fun playing on the banks of the river making up all kinds of imaginative games. I just sat in the boat and enjoyed the beauty and the peacefulness of my kids playing happily.

Camping

This is one of two trips up two Payson Lakes. It is so beautiful up there and we enjoy being out in nature, just to get away from the craziness and enjoy some quality time with our little family. Hadley and Caden loved fishing, every time Caden would put his pole in the water he would catch one! And Hadley mostley liked "Petting the fish" as they were dying on the shore! She loves animals just like her mom!

California.........I will live there one day!

We went to California for a 9 day vacation in Oceanside at a private beach house on a semi-private beach! I found this place and convinced the guy that he could rent it to us for half the price because school was not out yet and he would probably not rent it out anyways. Well it worked and my parents came so we were able to go and live the life of luxury for a few days! Needless to say, we did not want to come home....Ever! But Reality set in and we came home to allergies, mosquitoes, Really long grass and a very mad cat! (she is a people cat and hates being alone!)

We went to Lego Land (wasn't impressed) and Sea world (really good!) Hadley my animal lover liked sea world so much she did not want to leave! We did not make it to Disney Land, I think we just liked our beach house so much we did not want to leave anymore than two days!

Big Suprise!

Steve surprised me on Friday with a trip to La Caille (the last time we were there was when we got engaged) He said that it was for Mother's day and that I could not know where we were going. We ended up at this beautiful restaurant and after we were done we took a stroll around the gardens and Steve opened up a beautiful velvet box with a NEW wedding ring in it! (I lost mine last summer) I was shocked and excited! It was so thoughtful and sweet and a lovely night!

Steve has been working for weeks to finish this baby. And it is finally done, so now we can work on all the other things that this project led to! I love it and Steve did a great job for never building a deck before!

Caden and Hadley's Birthday Party!

We had Caden and Hadley's party together this year. For those who don't know their birthday's are two days apart. So this year I thought I am going to do them together while I still can! We just did a party with family this year which worked out good because the weather was rainy and cold.

I took the pictures of the cupcakes and decoration a little late (we already ate!) that's me!

On their REAL birthdays they got to do whatever they wanted to (with some exceptions) and Caden wanted to make homemade waffles with me and just play and have bbq. And Hadley wanted to take silly pictures of everyone (she has been doing it all weekend) and go to Noodles and Company to eat dinner.

Goblin Valley

We went to goblin valley with my brother and his family. It was a lot of fun! We went on one of the best hikes I have ever been on. We love to hike and my kids even when the whole 5 miles too. We spent about 3 hrs just climbing around and playing in Goblin Valley, very fun for kids.

Dinosaurs!!!!!!!!!

We went to the dinosaur museum on monday (it was a bribe for Caden to get him to practice writing his name more legible) It was a lot of fun, the kids loved the sand and water part. And not to mention Caden got a huge bump on his head from jumping off a rock, that he shoulden't have been on any way!!! Gotta have the drama to go with a fun day!

Another trip to beautiful southern Utah

We just had to get out of the cold and go see some more of Utah's beauty. We had a lot of fun! The kids loved all the sand to play in and we enjoyed relaxing and hiking around!

Trip to Vegas

We took a trip to Vegas because Steve was getting an award from the company that he is affiliated with. Well we also just needed an excuse to get out of the cold! And I am still wondering why we ever came home it was 65 degrees and no clouds the whole time! We did a lot of different things like the aquarium at Mandalay Bay (way cool!), swim at the house that we rented, saw only a few things on the strip (I am not a big fan of the strip!) and of course we had to find a place to hike or climb, so we went to Red Rock Canyon

I was TRYING to make Caden (if you know Caden you don't MAKE with him!) Take a nap. Needless to say, he never took a nap. Hadley finaly woke up and I went up stairs to get her, only to see that Caden was on the top of the steps. I said "Caden no nap agian, wow we are in for it later on when you get sleepy!" (in a not so happy tone) And then I looked down and saw this.................

AND THIS.......

And He Said.....'."Well Mommy did you see what I made? Harts with your pretties because you are pretty and I Love You!"
Well I sure wasn't as upset about him not getting a nap anymore! He is smoother than his dad, I don't know where he gets it!

My brother is an engineer up at Thiakol where they make rocket engines and other things for NASA and we went up there to watch one of the test fires on one particular rocket.You could feel the heat and the ground shaking and we were even about a 1/2 mile away. It was really cool and my kids were Awe Struck!

Another trip to Southern Utah

We just cant stay away from southern Utah this year! Well it is actually because we love nature and southern Utah is close, hence not a lot of driving with kids! We had a ton of fun getting away in the 70 degree weather too.

We had a lot of fun for Halloween! it was so fun to see the kids get so excited about one little piece of candy! It made me think about the great times of being a child and how we need that hope and enjoyment; like the one little piece of candy in out lives still. How do we achieve that goal? We are finally done with our backyard after a lot of hard work (which a lot of it was done by Steve.) And he is the one who had a hard time getting motivated, then he was the one out there all the time! Anyways we love it and are very happy with how it turned out. We also love the hard scape (gravel) because it saves time and water and it looks so clean.

My Friend is doing a Service Project

My friend Tami is doing a service project for some handicapped kids in Africa....She is trying to send money to these kids so that they can have the things in this school to help them improve upon their condition. Duck Creek Utah

We went down to Duck creek in southern Utah and rented a cabin there with my parents. It was a lot of fun! We went to The grand canyon, bryce and many other cool places. I never new that Southern Utah had beautiful pine trees and greens!

Caden's first day of pre-school

Caden had his first day of pre-school today! He did good, and had lots of fun, but said that he is never going back agian! HA HA I said well ok...and he said um...maybe I do want to go back if you want to buy me a toy everytime I go! I told him that if he was really brave today we would take him to get a toy later. And now he thinks that is going to happen all the time. Oh my what do I do!!!!

My last official wedding!

This was my last official wedding and as those who know me this was my other true love besides Steve! We sold our decorations to someone and as part of the sale I agreed to help her with the first wedding that she had. It was a little sad for me, but I got to do the flowers and that is my favorite thing to do anyways. I am wanting to still do flowers for weddings, if you know anyone have them give me a call!

We had a lot of fun up at the cabin this year! Thanks to Steve's grandma for letting us come and stay with her! We all enjoy nature so much, and this is just a little piece of heaven to me because I grew up going here when I was younger too.

We got a trampoline for Caden and Hadley. They have had a lot of fun on it. Hadley is especially brave, she can jump forever as long as brother is not around!

This is the first time this year that we got to go out on the lake. Steve got up on one ski great again, he looks like a hot pro! and I finally got up on one ski again! it has been three years since I have been able to last. I guess working out helps hu?

We have had so much fun going to the parks and the river and finding trails to hike this spring. I think that is one of our favorite things to do as a family! We are all happy just relaxing out in nature. Hadley and Caden could stay there forever!
